Have you ever just woken up looked at the mirror and didn’t even notice the person that you where looking at because of you gaining a few extra pounds? When that happens you realize that you must change and do something that will help you.

After you decide that you must change your eating habits you must remain confident and know that you can lose weight. Keep the right kind of attitude. If you start off with saying that you will never do it chances are that you will fail and that you will not do it. Say positive affirmations and words such as ” I am losing weight ” or ” I am doing this ” ” I am beautiful.” When you say the positive words always do it for the now tense not future or the past such as using the words “I am” not “I will”.

After your mind is in the right frame set to lose weight get a journal and make some healthy goals. Don’t make goals that are over the top like wanting to lose 40 pounds in two weeks. We both know that is unrealistic. You can not lose 40 pounds in two weeks. Make smaller goals like losing five pounds in one week that is one pound for every single day.

After you have your goals down you will have to change what you are eating. Stop having that candy bar at the end of every meal. Avoid having high calorie foods like pasta. Instead have a salad with some nice chicken chopped up. There are tons of low calorie recipes online and at your local library that will help you with what you cook.

Make sure that you watch how much you eat per meal by not going back for seconds and reducing how much food you put on your plate. Eat smaller portions throughout the day.

Try finding a support community online or at your local community. They have a lot of weight watcher programs that you can attend. Having some support while you are losing weight will help you.

Remember this – “I am losing weight, and I am doing it!”
